What does a website cost on each path?

The same question has answers from $0 to $5,000+ — because 'website' describes very different things. What changes the price isn't the page: it's who researches your market, writes the copy, designs the conversion, and keeps it running afterwards. Typical ranges:

PathTypical investmentTimelineWhat to expect
AI generator / Wix$0 – 20/moHoursA page live fast, with generic copy. SEO, conversion, and maintenance are on you. Fine for basic presence; doesn't compete for leads.
Freelancer$200 – 8002 – 6 weeksQuality varies wildly. Copy and SEO rarely included. Maintenance after delivery is usually uncertain.
Agency$1,500 – 5,000+1 – 3 monthsFull process, big team, layers of account management. Makes sense for brands with budget and time — you talk to a manager, not the maker.
Rosso Labs$120 – 260 + monthly7 days, in contractStrategic copy and SEO included from the first deploy, direct line to the engineer, and a guarantee: late because of me, the final payment is on me.

Common pricing questions

Why do website prices range from $0 to thousands?
Because the product isn't the page — it's the invisible work: market research, copy that converts, technical SEO, speed, and maintenance. Free generators hand you the HTML; the rest is on you. Agencies charge for the whole process plus team overhead. The sweet spot is paying for the work that generates leads, without paying for the overhead.
Does a cheap website end up expensive?
Depends on the goal. For basic presence, a template is fine. For customer acquisition, the real cost of a cheap site is the leads it doesn't generate every month — invisible on the invoice, visible in revenue.
Is the monthly plan worth it?
A site left alone loses rankings and breaks silently. The monthly covers hosting, security, backups, tweaks, and continuous evolution — the difference between an asset that improves monthly and a business card that ages.
Can you trust a website built in 7 days?
The timeline is short because the process is lean, not because steps are skipped: focused brief, per-section approval (not everything at the end), and tested custom code. And the risk is mine: timeline in contract — late because of me, the final payment is on me.
